BASEPA DG-carries message of Hope To Gwaram Community Over Gully Erosion.

The Director-General, Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) who is also the State Project Coordinator of Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi Arid Landscape (ACReSAL) Dr Ibrahim Kabir has delivered a message of hope to the good people of Gwaram, Misau local government area assuring them that the issue of erosion that has devastated their environment will soon be a thing of the past.
The Director General delivered the message when he led Habibu Engineering Nigeria Limited to assess and provide lasting solution on floods and soil erosion affecting the community.
He informed the community that the Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir is seriously concerned with their predicament, the reason he directed him to visit and assess the situation and report back for the government to take necessary actions.
He also noted that, the Governor has directed for the mobilisation of the company that will construct drainages and restore the eroded land as palliative measures to ease their sufferings, which will also go a long way in curtailing flood disaster in the area.

People of the area appreciated the Governor for his concern and positive response towards resolving their problems which had over the years threatened their livelihood as they are finding it difficult to go to farm just as their houses are gradually giving way.
