Humanitarian : 13 Brigade NAOWA puts smiles on Widows, orphage home

As parts of its humanitarian activities scheduled to climax the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2021 in Calabar the Zonal Coordinator of the NigerIan Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) Mrs Amina Peter Malla along with its Members and the Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association (NASWA) conducted a humanitarian outreach program. The event commenced with the presentation of relief materials and NAOWA national president’s souvenir to some widows at the Brigade Gymnasium/Fitness Centre.

Other highlights of the event was the visit to Infant Jesus Orphanage home were gift items, relief materials and food items were donated to the orphanage.

In her remarks, NAOWA zonal coordinator 13 Brigade chapter Mrs Amina Malla commended the efforts of the management and staff of the orphanage home towards ensuring better lives and good future for the children.
The zonal coordinator further reiterated that NAOWA being a charity organization came around to share their motherly love with the children of the orphanage home as part of activities commemorating NADCEL 2021. She implored the management and staff of the orphanage not to relent in their efforts of ensuring that the children receive good and quality training.

Earlier in her address, the head of the Orphanage Home, Sister Chidieberem Christiana appreciated the NAOWA Coordinator for selecting the Infant Jesus Orphanage home for the visit. According to her,she was overwhelmed by the the magnitude of the gifts, food items and relief materials donated to the orphanage. She further thanked NAOWA for their kind gesture and prayed to God to enrich the organization to do more and better the lives of the needy in the society. Attached are pictures from the event.
