Nasarawa LG Election Was Peaceful, Calm And Without Manipulations – John Osewu

The Chairman house committee on judiciary Nasarawa State House of Assembly, and the traditional title holder of Oshata of Okpatta,‬ ‭Hon. John Osewu (Jp) has expressed joy over peaceful conduct of the last Wednesday local government elections in Nasarawa State.

Hon. Osewu in a chat with reporters described the election as free, fair and credible, saying Governor Abdullahi Sule as one of the outstanding Governors the respect democracy and the sanctity of human lives had distanced himself from political manipulations.

“Governor A. A Sule, is a man that respect human dignity, a man that believes that what belongs to Mr. ‘A’ must be given to him, and what belongs to ‘B’ should also be given to him. So, as you can see, we are in the era of democracy and majority carried the vote. We did not witnessed any fracases, the atmosphere was calm and peaceful”.

Hon. Osewu who is the member representing Doma south in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly however commended the youths of his constituent for conducting themselves peacefully during the local government elections in the state.

Stressing that, as vanguard of the society, it beholves on the youths to nulture the growth and sustainability of democracy rather than allowing themselves to be used as instruments of destruction.

He said, APC as a party that loves peace would not live to see her followers indulge in thuggery and urge the youths to always maintain absolute peace in their settings.

The lawmaker equally commended the Journalists for the various roles the play in the promotion if peace, adding that as image makers of democracy in the world, the media should be encouraged to do their job effectively and efficiently too.
