Over 60 Shops Destroy by Fire in Tudunwada Market
In Zamfasra State Capital, properties worth millions of Naira, and over 60 shops had been destroyed due to fire outbreak at Tudunwada market, in Gusau on Saturday night.
It was stated by the Chairman of the market, Lawali Bello. He said that the fire started as a result of electrical fault in one of the shops, and it eventually spread to other shops.
Traders who were victims of the fire outbreak, counted their losses, and they’re calling on government to intervene over the matter.
The Governor of Samfara State, Governor Bello Matawalle, visited the scene of the fire outbreak to ascertain the level of the damage.
He promised to assist the victims with some money, to restart their business somewhere immediately, pending when the burnt shops would be reconstructed.
