IBTC Pension Managers Tasks Workers to Live a Life they can Afford

Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers has tasked civil servants to eschew all manner of unwarranted expenditure and to live a life they can afford as they plan for retirement.
The Nigeria’s Pension Fund Administrators also advocated that good financial habits will result to good financial results, noting that saving and investment are medium to long-term goals.
Addressing workers in Jos, Plateau state capital during the 2023 Pre-retirement Seminar, Olumide Oyetan, Chief Executive Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers revealed that retirement is a time of transition, a time to bid farewell to the daily grind and embrace freedom to pursue our passion and dream.
He said it is a momentous occasion that warrant careful planning and thoughtful consideration.
“The reason we have gathered here today is to equip you with the knowledge and tools necessary to make the most of this upcoming phase. The active workers who may be retiring soon or have more years to retire.
” As you know the purpose of a pension fund is to provide a stable and solid income stream to retirees who have contributed to the fund 25℅ balance during their work years.
“As your pension administrator, we understand that transitioning to the retirement phase will require adequate steps and intentional plans, so allow me to use this opportunity to reassure you that we are here to help you through this process when you get there.
” Take advantage of all the available resources and information, and I assure that we are here to help you every step of the way “, Oyetan stated.
The participants were given useful tips on how to manage their health and overall wellbeing; enlighten them on how to grow their wealth financially; provide step-by-step guides on the benefits application process including robust information on the documentation required to access their pension benefits at retirement.
The audience were also gave an insight on how to manage their stanbic IBTC pension account through the digital channels, in addition to utilization of the service tools that have upgraded to better serve them.
