NAK Sends SOS to Imo State Government

Nekede Ancient Kingdom in Owerri -West Local Government Area of Imo State has sent SOS to Imo State Government over Dilapidated Infrastructure and Environmental Degradation.
Speaking with journalists in the area, the President -General of Nekede Ancient kingdom Chief Amanze Ugorji highlighted that the State of Nekede roads were in deplorable situation, the economy of the Ancient Kingdom has been affected badly ,and the only surviving Market (Afor -Ama ) a Daily Market has been deserted due to bad roads and right now over 80 locked up shops have been vacated , adding that all the Health Institutions have also closed down.
He disclosed that the three Traditional Rulers in Nekede Ancient Kingdom namely, Eze Dr. Steven Nkemjika Agummanu, Ede 4th of Nekede,
Eze Dr. Morris Eke, Ohamadike 1 of Umuoma and Eze Godwin Mmerenini, Dibia 1 of Umudibia have petitioned to previous Government over the dilapidated infrastructure and Environmental Degradation in the area, yet no action was taken to ameliorate the situation.
“Government should change attitude to the people of Nekede and provide adequate infrastructure with Inter, and Intra city roads and accessibility to New Owerri because 75 percent of the area came from Nekede Ancient Kingdom ” he noted.
