Diri Wins For A Second Term

Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri has won another four year term in the just concluded off cycles Gubernatorial Elections, in Bayelsa State

Diri defeated his closest rival , Timipre Silva of the APC, with a total vote of 175, 196 as against 110, 108 votes, by Silva

Delivering his Goodwill message at the Yakubu Mahmud hall in Yenagoa ,the Governor thanked Bayelsans for trooping out and voting for a candidate of their choice, affirming that he will not relent in his effort to develop the State.

Speaking further, Gov. Diri said that a good leader will always show his works by his good deeds , adding that he is the star that will lead Bayelsans to their land of glory

Finally he thanked the Delta State Gov ,Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborovweri and other stakeholders for their support in making the election a success.

Governor Diris victory was welcomed with wide spread jubilation from the people who thronged the INEC office to show their joy.
