The Director General National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS National Assembly, Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, has congratulated the Governor- Elect of Edo State Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Dennis Idahosa.

The congratulatory message is contained in a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri. Professor Sulaiman expressed optimism that the combination of both ex- members of the 10 National Assembly, Senator Monday Okpebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa will usher in development in their new Areas of Responsibility.

He harped on the need for the duo to effectively deploy their Legislative arsenals garnered in the Red and Green Chambers to emplace good governance by Prioritizing People – Centric projects.
Professor Sulaiman who described the outcome of the last Saturday Poll that produced the Governor – Elect and the Deputy as a watershed in the anal of Edo State said the stage is set for a new dawn towards changing the narratives in the improvement of the standard of living of the toiling masses. He hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen Ph.D, and the Leadership of APC, for the victory.

A statement sighed by the Media Adviser To DG, Mohammed Abdulkadri said, while commending the good people of Edo State for the performance of their civic duty before, during and after the poll, he urged them to remain peaceful and to cooperate with the incoming administration towards reaping the dividends of democracy. He also acknowledged the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and Election Stakeholders as well as the Security Agencies for ensuring peaceful, free, fair and credible conduct of the exercise.
