JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION HADIN KAI (NORTH EAST)
A statement sighed by the Director Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba said that the Troops of Operation HADIN KAI conducted operations deep in terrorist enclaves in Sambisa Forest and the Tumbuns of the Lake Chad Region. The operations targeted terrorist commanders and leaders strongholds.
- The operations denied the terrorist the ability to carry out major offensive as well as diminished the terrorist offensive capability. Accordingly, terrorist were limited to low level skirmishes and attacks, mostly on soft targets.
- Troops neutralised several BH/ISWAP/JAS terrorists commanders namely: Munzir Arika, Sani Dilla (Dan Hausawan Jubillaram), Ameer Modu, Dan Fulani Fari Fari Dungusu, Abu Darda, Bakoura Arina Chiki, Dungusu, Abu Darda and Abu Rijab.
- Overall, during the third quarter of the year, troops of OP HADIN KAI neutralised 792 terrorist, arrested 606 suspects and rescued 476 kidnapped hostages. Additionally, troops recorded a total of 7,283 surrendered BH/ISWAP terrorists combatants and their families.
- Troops dismantled the terrorist military capabilities by recovering 339 AK47 rifles, 58 fabricated rifles, 83 dane guns, 62 assorted arms, 9,653 rounds of 7.62mm special ammo, 3,147 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 2,710 assorted ammunitions.

- Air Interdiction. The air component of Operation HADIN KAI in the third quarter of the year conducted air interdictions to several terrorists enclaves namely:Mandara Mountain, Maradun, Southern Tumbun Fulani among others. The air interdictions conducted killed several terrorist leaders, commanders and combatants and destroyed their logistics dumps.
JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION SAFE HAVEN (NORTH CENTRAL)
- Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN conducted several offensive operations such as raids and fighting patrols during the third quarter of the year. The operations yielded significant successes including: recovery of arms and ammunitions as well as arrest of violent extremists including kidnappers, gunrunners, armed robbers, murderes as well as imposters.
- Additionally , troops in fierce contact with violent extremists/terrorists neutralized several terrorists including Matawal Bitrus, Thomas Benedict and Mohammed Sani amongst others. Troops also rescued several kidnapped hostages and arrested suspected violent extremists as well as gunrunners. The offensive posture of troops secured the release of several kidnapped hostages and significantly curtailed the activities of terrorist and violent extremist operating in the theatre.
- Overall, troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN neutralized 122 violent extremist, arrested 513 suspects and rescued 305 kidnap hostages. Troops equally recovered 48 AK47 rifles, 41 fabricated guns, 52 assorted arms, 9,457 rounds of 7.62mm special, 378 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 278 assorted ammunitions.

OPERATION WHIRL STROKE (NORTH CENTRAL)
- Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE conducted operations to combat security threats posed by banditry, kidnapping, gunrunning, and herders/farmers clashes. The operations significantly mitigated security challenges in Benue, Nasarawa, and Taraba States.
- The key threats faced by troops in the region include, terror activities by various militia groups, farmers/herders clashes between herder militias and indigenes, kidnapping for ransom by suspected herder militia, gunrunning activities mostly by indigenes of Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba States.
- Troops onslaught largely degraded the potency of the terror groups within the theatre of operation and neutralized several terror leaders and commanders namely: Rimamy (aka Omo), Terkimbi Injoko, Jacob Uzege, Abdulkadir Yaya, Kingsley, Mathew Tersee, Ali Ibrahim, Yusuf Musa, Usman Umar and Isiah Ioraa, among others.
- Additionally, troops arrested gunrunners kingpins such as: Paul Hammeza, Aondowase Tyoue, Salisu Nasiru, Lomina Bisala, Manuka Sunday, Bulus Ibrahim, Tisen Markus, Markus Grace and Ali Tambaya.
- Overall, during the third quarter of the year, troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE neutralized 109 terrorist, arrested 203 suspects and rescued 210 kidnapped hostages.
- Troops also recovered 27 AK47 rifles, 10 assorted arms, 2,660 rounds of 7.62mm special, 60 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 66 assorted ammunitions.

JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION HADARIN DAJI (NORTH WEST)
- During the third quarter of the year, troops of OP HADARIN DAJI witnessed several threats such as kidnap for ransom, attack on remote communities and communal clashes. Troops sustained offensive operations to destroy and disrupt terrorists across the NW region.
- Troops offensive activities combined with the synergy between the security agencies and intelligence agencies resulted in the neutralisation of several terrorists leaders, commanders and combatants such as: IBN Kasir, Kachalla Ɗan Baleri, Kachalla Dogo Kwaɗɗi, Lawalli Dodo, Kachalla Naguru, Kachalla Ɗan-Babirki, Kachalla Hana-Zuwa, Kachalla Adamu, Kachallah Halilu Jimmare (Buzu), Kachalla Jamilu Zakiru, Alhaji Bello, Alhaji Sule, Mallam Gajere Mai’Yargitta and Sani Black amongst others.
- Overall, troops of Op HADARIN DAJI neutralized 598 terrorist, arrested 325 suspects and rescued 523 kidnap hostages. Troops also recovered 162 AK47 rifles, 72 fabricated guns, 39 assorted arms, 4,984 rounds of 7.62mm special, 2,491 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 1,852 assorted ammunitions.

- Air Interdiction. Air component of Operation HADARIN DAJI conducted air interdiction to several terrorists enclaves/camps within the theatre of Operation. These incluse; Kankara, Zurmi, Danmusa, Maradun and Gusau as well as other areas within Katsina and Zamfara States. Several terrorist leaders, commanders and combatants were wiped off the battlefield through the air interdictions.
OPERATION WHIRL PUNCH (NORTH WEST)
- Troops of Operation WHIRL Punch intensified effort against terrorist and violent extremist in the conduct of operations. Significantly, offensive operations such as fighting patrols, raids ambushes and clearance patrols were conducted to terrorist hideouts and enclaves. The terrorist were denied freedom of action with their combat capabilities diminished.
- Troops tenacity and operations intensity led to the elimination of several violent extremists and terrorists kingpins including: Kachalla Dan Ali Garin Fadama, Kachalla Dan Mani Na Inna, Kachalla Basiru Zakarriya, Sani Baka Tsine, Inusa Zagon Kuzi, Ibrahim, Tukur, Kamilu Buzaru, Kachalla Sani Black, SP Liman Haliru, Kachalla Baleri Fakai and Halilu Sabubu.
- Additionally, troops intercepted and apprehended suspected gunrunner kingpins namely : Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, Mallam Hassan Iliyasu and Hashimu Ahmad among others.
- Overall, troops of Operation WHIRL PUNCH recorded the following in the third quarter of the year. Troops neutralized 217 terrorist, arrested 448 suspects and rescued 217 kidnap hostages.
- Troops also recovered 92 AK47 rifles, 28 assorted arms, 5,807 rounds of 7.62mm special, 3,378 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 2,781 assorted ammunitions.

- Air Interdiction. The air component of Operation WHIRL PUNCH conducted air strikes on terrorists several terrorist enclave within the third quarter of the year. These include terrorist enclaves at Mariga, Kabago, Alawa Forest, Kwaki forest, East Getamiya, Katarma, Chikun, Kuduru and Giwa among others in Niger and Kaduna States.
JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION DELTA SAFE (SOUTH SOUTH)
- Troops of Op DELTA SAFE maintained the momentum against the activities of crude oil theft during the third quarter of the year. Troops continued to find and destroyed illegal refining sites as well as arrest the perpetrators of crude oil theft.
- During the period, troops of Operation DELTA SAFE neutralized 6 violent extremist, arrested 447 persons involved in crude oil theft and rescued 48 kidnapped hostages. Troops also denied the oil theft of 12,143,870 litres of stolen crude oil, 2,623,216 litres of AGO, 6,970 litres of DPK and 31,450 litres of PMS.
- Furthermore, troops recovered 48 assorted weapons and destroyed 370 wooden boats, 672 assorted ammunitions and 897 illegal refining sites.

- Air Interdiction. Air Component of Operation DELTA SAFE conducted air interdictions on several illegal crude oil refining sites during the period,destroying over 100 of such sites, boats, vehicles among other equipment.
JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION UDO KA (SOUTH EAST)
- Troops of Op UDO KA conducted rigorous clearance operation across the SE theatre to diminish the activities of IPOB/ESN terror group and maintain peace in the region.
- Troops operations curtailed the activities IPOB/ESN, being the major cause of insecurity in the SE Region. Other security threat witnessed in the SE Region during the period include illegal bunkering/oil theft activities, weapon/ammunition trafficking, kidnap for ransom, cultism, assassinations and communal clashes.
- During the third quarter of the year, , troops of OP UDO KA conducted clearance operations, raids and other offensive activities to tackle the insecurity is the SE Region. Significantly, troops conducted combined operations with other security services and invaded fortified IPOB/ESN strongest hideout in Mother Valley, Orsu LGA of Imo State.
- Additionally, troops effected the arrest of one Monday Oluchi Ogwu AKA B44 Camp. During search of the camp, several corpses in shallow graves were exhumed within the camp vicinity.
- Additionally, troops arrested high profile member of IPOB/ESN such as one Mr Onwuha Onyebuchi at Agwu LGA of Enugu State. He and several others are assisting ongoing investigation. Troops also neutralized and arrested notorious extremists, gunrunners as well as kidnappers including: ofem Emmanuel, Ejim Anthony Wisdom, Ogonna Igwe, Joseph Ugochukwu Alli, Kyle his Ngwa, Chika Opko, Sunday Okpo and Nnena Nkole.
- Troops also conducted raid on notorious gunrunner and weapon fabricator’s house identified as Chief Solomon a.k.a Ogbuefi at Ebum Eburutu in Abi LGA in Cross River State. Also, troops arrested Chidiadi Uchengbulem, Ezeogo Ogbonna, Christian Ngari and Chima Onuwusanya amongst others.
- Overall, troops of Op UDO KA neutralized 93 terrorist, arrested 240 suspects and rescued 75 kidnap hostages. Ttroops also recovered 20 AK47 rifles, 47 pump action guns, 384 rounds of 7.62mm special, 223 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, 762 live cartridges and 545 assorted ammunitions.

SUMMARY
- In the course of operations, troops of Operation UDO KA neutralized 180 combatants, arrested 354 IPOB/ESN criminals and rescued 148 kidnapped hostages.
- Additionally, troops recovered 28 AK47 rifles, 44 pump action guns, 58 assorted arms, 3,456 rounds of 7.62mm special, 1,402 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, 801 live cartridges and 324 assorted ammunitions.
