Oborevwori Celebrates Archbishop Iboyi At 50, Urges Humility, Purposeful Leadership
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Tuesday joined family, worshippers, friends and well-wishers to celebrate the 50th birth anniversary of Archbishop Godday Iboyi, General Overseer of Promised Kingdom Ministries, Overflow Chapel Worldwide.
The thanksgiving service, held at the Cathedral of Overflow Chapel in Okuovwori-Amuokpe, Sapele, drew a large congregation of clergy, political leaders and traditional rulers who gathered to honour the cleric’s life and ministry.

Speaking at the event, Governor Oborevwori expressed appreciation to Archbishop Iboyi for his impact and spiritual leadership, describing him as a brother and a man devoted to service.
Reflecting on leadership, he noted that true leadership is rooted in humility rather than position.
“Many hold positions of authority, but position alone does not define leadership. True leadership comes with humility. If you desire a position, begin with humility,” he said, cautioning against pride.
Oborevwori also highlighted the need for adaptability in governance, noting that changing times require new approaches. He urged leaders to always strive to do what is right while embracing wisdom in decision-making.
Quoting from the Bible, specifically First Epistle to the Thessalonians 5:16–18, the governor encouraged a lifestyle of gratitude, prayer and faith, describing the occasion as a moment of thanksgiving and reflection on God’s grace.
He further urged the celebrant and the congregation to remain steadfast in service to God and humanity, committing all endeavors into God’s hands for guidance and success.
He congratulated Archbishop Iboyi on behalf of the government and people of Delta State, praying for more years of fulfillment.
Earlier in his exhortation, Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Delta State Chapter, Bishop Abos Willie, charged the congregation to live purposeful and disciplined lives rooted in faith.
Drawing from scripture, he reminded worshippers of the importance of remembering their origins and remaining obedient to God.

He emphasized that life presents opportunities for reflection and correction, urging believers to stay focused and aligned with divine purpose.
The service featured prayers, worship and thanksgiving, marking a significant milestone in Archbishop Iboyi’s life and ministry.
Highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of birthday card to the celebrant by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
