The National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Barr Felix Morka, CON has said that integrity is everything anyone needs to succeed in life as he urged Nigerians to hold on to it. Morka gave the advice during the 2026 Nigerian Patriots and Integrity Award Conference held on Friday, September 11, at the Lagos Airport Hotel in Lagos. It was organised by the NACJ under the theme, “Integrity is Everything.”

Morka, who was honoured as the “Most Outstanding Political Marketing Communicator of the Year, 2026” during the conference called on Nigerians to embrace integrity and take personal responsibility for building a stronger nation.

Speaking after receiving the award, Morka expressed appreciation to the organisers for honouring him, noting that he was persuaded by the character and purpose of the association.

Morka said the message delivered by the guest speaker, Dr George Moghalu had particularly resonated with him, highlighting the statement that “They built where they are, and the nation became stronger.”

According to him, the message serves as an invitation to every Nigerian, regardless of profession or proximity to government, to contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.

He stressed that nation-building should not be regarded as the sole responsibility of government, arguing that individuals and citizens also have important roles to play in creating a better Nigeria for present and future generations.

He further explained that integrity goes beyond personal reputation, stressing that an individual’s life is connected to the lives of others and that every action can have consequences beyond one’s immediate environment.

He said citizens must therefore, recognise the impact of their decisions and conduct on society and use their respective positions to contribute positively to the country.

According to the award recipient, Morka, there must be a sense of mutual responsibility between citizens and government, likening the relationship to a marriage in which both parties have responsibilities.

He argued that while government bears an enormous responsibility for providing effective leadership and developing the country, citizens must also avoid actions and activities that undermine national progress.

He called on Nigerians to see the conference as a reminder that nation-building begins with individual responsibility, urging everyone, irrespective of their occupation or social position, to play their part in strengthening the country.

He maintained that when Nigerians collectively build from where they are, the country can overcome its challenges and provide a stronger and better future for all.

The event brought together personalities and stakeholders with the presentation to Barr. Felix Morka, CON, serving as one of the highlights of the conference.
