2023: Give Me Presidential Ticket I Will End Insecurity, Poverty, Hunger-Wike

Rivers State Governor and people’s Democratic party (PDP) Presidential aspirant Nyesom Wike told delegates to vote for him with the assurance that, ” if I got the presidential ticket I will win the secondary election and end insecurity, poverty and hunger ravaging Nigeria.
Wike said Nigeria is currently under a precarious situation due to APC bad governance and is in dire need of competent person who can change the narrative.
He stated this in Jos, Plateau State capital over the weekend as he come to canvassed for votes from the delegates ahead of party Presidential primaries scheduled for May 2022.
While declaring his intention known Governor Wike said, “well as you can see I am here personally to address you without sending any delegation. I come here to let you know that I am making myself available for the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the structure of the People’s Democratic party (PDP).”
According to him, “I have been a card carrying member of PDP and supporting the party since 1998. It doesn’t matter whether I get the ticket or not what is more important for me is for PDP to take over in 2023.
“And I want to say this, what we need now is somebody who can win election for people’s Democratic party. I come out to contest because I know I can win election for PDP in Nigeria. Send me for this errand because I have the capacity to deliver. Don’t let anybody to come and deceive you….
“I am here to solicit for your mandate on May 28 and 29, 2022, where the convention will held. You’re very important and strategic that is why I come to you for you to know that I am serious about this.”
Governor Wike said APC as a political party failed Nigeria woefully and it exist at Federal level only.
“You see APC is at the Federal Government level in Nigeria is it not? The only Federal Government project in Plateau is banditry. You have the Governor who is APC and the only project they have for Plateau State is bandits to kill and take over Local Government Areas in Plateau State What a shame….
“Every day you heard killings here and there. Today 20 people, the other day 15 people, another day 30 people.Let me tell you something gave me ticket I will win election and this people will be out.
“Insecurity, poverty and hunger does not know who is a Northerner or southerners, neither does it know who is a Christian or Muslim. So what Nigeria need now is who can come to its rescue and I am ready to rescue Nigeria from this evil Government we have”, he mentioned.
He congratulated Plateau PDP for emerging victorious during the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency bye-election, promised his willingness to always support the party until they take over Government House in 2023 general elections.
In their goodwill messages, Plateau State PDP chairman Hon. Chris Hassan, Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial district Istifanus Gyang and member representing Langtang North/Langtang South Constituency in the National Assembly Beni Lar assured Governor Wike that “Plateau delegates stands with you.
“Looking at your track records and antecedents in Rivers State you have shown courage, you have demonstrated capacity and have the capability to deliver if you become a President of Nigeria.”
You would recall this is the second visit of Governor Nyesom Wike to Plateau State in this year 2022. However, a minute silence was observed in memory of those who lost their lives recently as a result of the attacks by bandits.
