JOS – Bauchi State Governor of Bauchi State and presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bala Mohammed, assured Nigerians that he will ensure peace and unity, justice and equity in the distribution of appointments and infrastructural development across Nigeria if elected President.
Mohammad gave this assurance on Saturday in Jos while addressing delegates at the State PDP Secretariat in Jos, Plateau State.
“Nigerians should expect justice and equity, good and inclusive governance driven by knowledge across the country and we will ensure people are safe and secure.
“I will redeem the image of Nigeria internationally so that we can regain our national self-esteem in the comity of nations. We have made some studies and we know where we, where we want to go and how we will get there.”
He urged Nigerians to remain democratic and give the political class some benefits of the doubt, having learned from the mistakes of the APC which has left the country in disenchantment.
“We are meeting the political class to close ranks so that we can form a unifying force so as to give Nigerians good governance and provide dividends of democracy to our people.”
He said President Buhari brought on board people who are incompetent and have disconnected with the people at the grassroots which has compounded the challenges of insecurity in the country.
“There is no federal government presence in most states, look at Plateau, Bauchi and some states in the country, we will ensure that inclusive governance is given priority where every part of Nigeria will be considered for development.”
Mohammad described himself as the most competent, coupled with his requisite experience as a Journalist, Senator, Minister and Governor of Bauchi State where he has raised the internally generated revenue to boost the economy of the state.
