2023 Presidency: Plateau APC Delegates Endorse Amechi

 Delegates of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Plateau State have collectively endorsed the immediate past minister of transport,Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuki Amechi as the sole  candidate in the upcoming May 29th 2022 party’s presidential primary election.

 Governor Simon Lalong who moved the motion of the endorsement was adopted by all delegates at the new Government House Little Rayfield,Jos, Victoria Gowon Hall, said Amechi invested his time, energy and resources to ensure APC come to stay in Plateau.

According to Lalong, ” prior to 2015 general elections when some people were scared to invest their resources to form a structure for APC in Plateau State but Amechi painstakingly done it. And not only Plateau but he gave money to the tune of about one hundred million to each Northern States to form APC.

“There is no need for you to come and camping in Plateau because it is your home. You invested so much on APC in Plateau and Nigeria this is the time for you to reap the benefits of your labor. All Plateau delegates are solemnly behind you and so also the conference of former speakers have agreed to go with you….”

Hon.Rotimi Amechi revealed that the reality of Nigeria is very painful as Nigerian elites does not care for the poor.

“We have two hundred million Nigerians who are going through pains as a result of poverty. When poverty manifest it leads to anger, crime and all forms of social vices.”

Amechi said if he elected as Nigeria President in 2023 his administration will focus attention on; law and Justice, security, education, health, create job opportunities infrastructural development and other sectors of the economy.

He said Nigerians should stop blaming President Muhammadu Buhari about the poor state of the Nation, noting that Buhari inherited $2.5 billion from PDP who deprived the country in their 16 years of governance.

The presidential aspirant charged Plateau delegates to see the reasons why they should vote for him and not to be carry away by money-bags come May 29, 2022 presidential primary.

“Do not be carry away by money-bags because in the election day you will see the elites carrying Dollars in their pockets. Do sold your conscious. I strongly believe together we can liberate and change the situation of Nigeria if  all of us agree to do so.”

The chairman of APC in the state, Hon. Rufus Bature acknowledged that Rotimi Amechi is a household name not only in Plateau but Nigeria as a whole.

Bature said they are ready to go neighboring states and canvassed support for Amechi to become President looking at his antecedents as two term Governor, speaker, chairman Nigerian Governors forum, immediate minister of transport and other positions held.

Our correspondent learned that Rotimi Amechi was the first APC presidential aspirant to visit Plateau delegates.
