 Over 25,000 Police personnel set for elections coverage in zone 4, Says AIG —warns trouble shutters

The Nigerian Police Force, NPF, zone four (4) consist of Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau States said to have set out modalities of deploying over 25,000 Police personnel for elections monitoring in the zone.

The Assistant Inspection General (AIG) of Police in charged of zone 4, Adesina Soyemi, disclosed this to newsmen Thursday at the Police Officers Mess, Jos, during a meeting with stakeholders.

He said, ” I am here to talk with the stakeholders and solicit for their support in our preparatory to conduct a free, fair and credible presidential and National Assembly elections,  and subsequent elections.

“We have gone round the zone.I am very satisfied with what I am seeing, because everybody who is familiar with Jos would know there is a lot going in respect to peace and security. We would not rest in our quest to achieved hundred percent success.

“We have over 25,000 Policemen to be mang across various polling units in zone 4, covering three states of Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau respectively”, he mentioned.

Zone 4 AIG, issued the words of caution to trouble shutters to either flee the zone, go on hidden or have themselves to blame if should in make any trouble attempt.

According to him, ” If any of them should raised up their hands laws has the way of dealing with them, and we would not hesitate to bring them to book.

“So, I want to sound a words of warning to all of them whenever they are, is rather they run away or be hidden their faces because if they try it the Nigerian Police Force in collaboration with other security agencies has the way of dealing with them decisively.”

He charged citizens to come and exercise their franchise without any fair of intimidation.
