Academic Don Gets Award Of Excellence

The provost of Gates and Melinda College of Health and Technology, Alhaji Garba Hussaini,,was awarded conferred with award of Excellence for his selfless service to educational development and humanity in general,the Prestigious organisation that awarded him is the “Ningi For All”this organization has been awarding the hardworking and honest individuals in Ningi Emirate council and beyond for their selfish service as sons and daughters of the Emirate for over decades now.

The recipient Malam Garba Hussaini and the provost of the college has been awarded with Prestigious number of awards by Prestigious organisations in and out of this country for his dedication to educational development in Nigeria not only Bauchi state and more particularly in the Areas of Heath education.

The provost of the college, Alhaji Garba Hussaini,up on his resumption of office as duly confirmed provost by His Excellency Governor Bala Mohammad of Bauchi state.

The provost has quickly swung into action there by started with building sectors of critical infrastructures in the college has been lacking for over decades,now has become history under the able leadership of the current provost.

And few among the important infrastructures the Provost built and renovated in the college are: Construction and equipping of 200 systems capacity of ICT centre with access to constant power supply and water, introduction and accreditation of HND program in Health information and management course, introduction and accreditation of N.D in X-ray Technician, introduction and accreditation of National Diploma in Psychosocial rehabilitation, introduction and accreditation of ND in Public health and Establishement of college consultancy unit and commencement of the following programs:ND chew,ND H I.M,N.D Nutrition,N.D Education and N.D X-RAY.

And the areas of renovation the provost has renovated and refurbished the Nutrition department, construction of solar system around classes, construction of solar system in the hostel, renovation and construction of water supply system in the school compound and staff quarters.

And the Provost other notable achievements are introduction and accreditation of N.D epidemiology and diseases control program, recruitment of twenty casual workers, recruitment of twenty part time lecturers, processed and the posting of twenty full time lecturers from Bauchi ministry of Health and Hospital management Board, Procurement of Computer set for all the newly established departments, procurement of deep freezers for all departments in the college,full accreditation of pharmacy technician program, procurement of printers, scanners, photo copy Machines to all departments, procurement of a colour printer and scanner to the college, procurement of offices table and standard modern chairs to all classes in the college, renovation of female hostel, kitchen, toilets and construction of drainage system,and introduction and construction of new offices for newly introduced programs in the college, renovation of male hostels with modern interlocking fittings,and support the college with disbursement of materials such as mouth masks, effective handsenitizers and other disinfectants during coranavirus pandemic,polo shirts, wheelbarrows, brooms for effective environmental sanitation in the college,the above mentioned achievements was the solid evidence and facts why this gentleman has been awarded by Prestigious foreign and local organizations in Nigeria.

Among the the participants during the presentation of this great award of Excellence were people of timber and caliber from various organs of government and public institutions including the private sector players,his well wishers, associates,friends, lecturers and representative of the Emirate council of Ningi,State Ministry of Health, Representative of the Bauchi state Head of Civil Servants, Including some foreign dignitaries,all the participants have commended the Provost for the gesture and urged him to redouble his great efforts in pushing the college forward to the next step of development.

And finally on his part the provost of the college express his profound gratitude to the Governor Bala Mohammad of Bauchi state for supporting the college and he said all this was achieved as result of the government support and fatherly advise from the Emir Of Ningi Dr Yunusa Mohammad Danyaya(OON) and other critical stakeholders.
