Hon mustapha Bala Dawaki, representative of Dawakin kuduwari federal constituency of Kano state has faulted the electoral process in which not too many of his colleagues were able to scale during the their party primaries in the just concluded exercise across the country.

Dawaki reservations was made known to journalists in an interview in his office at the national assembly house of representative Abuja.

He said we are not happy with the outcome at all a situation whereby majority of our colleagues lost out in their primary not because they did not do well or are not love by their people but do to game changed. Usually, it is the members of the EXCOs, now they were screened out of the system to be delegates.

He acknowledged the fact that some worked and merit their return tickets unopposed. Sighting his own case, “i have 30 wards, 810 desks officials at ward level, I’m in charged of two local government areas in Kano state. In 2019 I was overwhelmingly endorsed as single candidate by the people from two local government areas this they said credent to my performance. Again this year, 2022 nobody contested with me, it was a unanimous decision by my stateholders that I’m doing well.

Whereas, the case is different for so many of my colleagues else where the delegates system arrangement is a big case and so we are proposing other side of amendment to correct the issues observed in this one.

The astute kano born politician, Dawaki reference other society where standard of legislative tenents are upheld better by giving older members some previleges to return. Reasons been that, it’ll take the whole legislative year for new members to catch-up with the doctrine of legislations.
