Bauchi Gov Approves Establishment of COE In Dass LGA

The Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed has approved the establishment of College of Education (COE) to be cited in Dass local government area council of the State.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr Aliyu Usman Tilde made this known to journalists shortly after the State Exercutive Council meeting at Government House yesterday in Bauchi.
According to the Commissioner, “The development came as a result of the closure of over forty five colleges of education due to their in ability to meet up with the requirements as stipulated by the National Commission for College of Education (NCCE) to operate in the County.
He explained that the closured has created high competition in the market, which made it possible for the government to do something very quickly, so that those large number of students will be accommodated.
“His Excellency, the Exervutive Governor has approved for the establishment of College of Education Dass with immrdiste effect to accomodates our teaming youth rooming on the street”,.
Tilde, disclosed that the college will soon commence activities with immediate effect for 2022 – 2023 academic season
He further disclosed that Science Secondry School Dass was allocated for the college as permanent site.
The Commissioner, added that the college will serve not only Dass community but also Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro as well as Toro and some communities border with Platuea state respectively.
