Bayelsa polls: Diri’s deputy candidate, Law optimistics victory thanks stakeholders

The Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on expressed optimism of victory after casting his vote on Saturday.

The PDP deputy governorship candidate stated this in an interview with Pressmen shortly after casting his vote in his hometown of Ofoni community in Sagbama Local Government Area of the State.

In any case Ewhrudjakpo expressed worried over the reoccurring security challenges in Nembe and other few areas of the State where party members are been reported been prevented from accessing polling units and advised that election should be a game of ballot and not a bullet.

According to him, “We are more concerned with what is happening in Nembe and a few other places, but we pray that the security agencies and all the other agencies involved should do the right thing so that people would not be disenfranchised. The election is a ballot affair and not a bullet affair, all of them have six letters but not the same weight” he emphasized.

He went further to showered encomium on His Excellency the Governor Sen. Douye Diri, for counting him worthy as his running mate for number one seat in the state, saying it’s a privileged.
“As for my people the Ofoni Community, i say a big thank you all, I love you so much for believing in me and always stand by me in every elections in the state whereby I called for your unflinching support and solidarity.
