Boko Haram loses two of its prominent warlords
The ceaseless attack by men of the Tura Takaibango troop under the command of operaton Lafia Dole has once again proved to be a success as they have captured two strongmen of the Boko Haram Terrorist Group.
According to,the Army spokesman, Brig.Gen. M. M Yerima, the two men, Abul Bas, a top commander to Abu Fatima and Ibn Habib, Boko Haram Terrorist Commander both operating in the Sambisa Forest are one of the most wanted, and notorious members of the terrorist group. And has been on the military watchlist for sometime.
However, they met their waterloo during an ambush by the Tura Takaibango troops on Tue. Feb. 9th between Vuria and Gija settlements along Banki Junction. Items recovered by the troops include, three GPMG, seven AK47 rifles, a belt of ammunition containing 446 rounds of 7.62mm, one boxer motorcycle and,one ITEL2160 mobile phone.
Meanwhile, the chief of Army, Staff Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru has commended the troops for their achievement and urge them to continue the aggressive clearance operation in order to flush out the Boko Haram Criminals from Sambisa Forest, and its environs.
