Deputy Governor Donates N2.3m To 230 Less Previleged Women In Nasarawa State, To Boost Their Businesses

Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe has donated a total sum of N2.3 million to the less previleged women in Doma and Lafia Local Government Areas of the State, in order to boost their businesses. Speaking at the ceremony, Senator Umaru Tanko Al Makura who represents Nasarawa South at the National Assembly, commended the State Deputy Governor for his foresight in assisting the less privileged women in his Senatorial District, which according to him,” This your kind gesture will go along way in alleviating the problems faced by the less privileged women in the society.” Describing women as ” our Mothers”.

Senator Al Makura urged the beneficiaries to make very good use of the money in order to help them succeed in their small scale businesses. The Senator who described the State Deputy Governor as a loyal Deputy also called on him to continue with the good gesture which would go along way in alleviating the suffering of the women in the Doma and Lafia local government Areas of the state.

On his part, the State Deputy Governor,Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe who said the gesture is for the entire State, also said other Local Governments in the state would also enjoy the gesture. The State Deputy Governor used the opportunity to call on the people of the state to support the Administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to enable him succeed on the enormous tasks ahead.

The breakdown of the beneficiaries indicates that Doma Local Government will get 100 beneficiaries, while Lafia Local Government will have 130 beneficiaries with the total amounts of N2.3 million, as every beneficiary will get N10,000 each.
