DFAM appoints Wamakko as National Grand Patron after Emir of Zazzau

His Excellency Senator, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (Sarkin Yamman Sokoto) has been appointed as the new Grand Patron of Drug-free Arewa Movement (DFAM) during the courtesy visit yesterday at his FCT resident by the group.
Dr Wamakko while accepting the honour done to him by the group called on the nation’s future leaders who are currently trapped by the menace of drug and substance abuse and needed rescued, to change their ways less they will soon give birth to a generation of mad people with unimaginable consequences, he warned.
On his part, the lead-convener of the Drug-free Arewa Movement (DFAM), Amb Ibrahim Yusuf Gombe said that the distinguished senator has been found worthy for his outstanding contributions to the upliftment and development of the North and Nigeria in general and here by recognized.
According to this report, the APC leader is succeeding the late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris was the former Grand Patron.
The group prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the late Emir of Zazzau Jannatul Firdaus Ameen.
The Drug Free Arewa movement is a movement of young people and civil society groups within 19 Northern States and the F.C.T. advocating and leading anti-drug abuse and fight against trafficking of illicit substances in the region. Drugs are robbing our future in the North, every hour a teenager experiment with illicit drugs for the first time.
