Do not lost confidence on the future of Nigeria-Mutfwang

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has charged citizens to keep hope alive and not to loose confidence on the future of Nigeria despite challenges confronting the Nation.

Governor Mutfwang gave the words of admonition Sunday during Nigeria’s 63 Independent anniversary Church service, bheld at Church of Christ in Nation, COCIN, Headquarters, Jos.

He said Independent days celebration often times have become mere rituals but we can choose to make a difference. 

“And I want to thank God, particularly for the time in which we are, though were facing security challenges and I want to salute our security chiefs for their contributions towards peace and stability in Plateau State. We prayed that may God make your tenure a success.

“I know that we have passed through a circle of hope and disappointment in our pursued for a nation.But if were trying to restore confidence on Nigerians is now.And the theme for today’s service “don’t throw away your confidence”, I therefore want to urged us that no matter your disappointment of the past you cannot afford to throw your hope on Nigeria. This is an interested Nation.

“And I want to challenge those of us in leadership of every cadre that, it is time to arise and make sure we rebuilt this Nation.The very many, many problem of leadership that have been occasioned in this country if it had happened in other countries they never could have survive. But despite all the missed opportunities God has still kept us. 

“I want to plead with us particularly on the Plateau, I want to plead with our esteem traditional rulers, leaders of communities please rise to the occasion, we need to forged with an uncommon unity on the Plateau because that is the direction to go.

“If we do not see ourselves as our brothers keepers we will not be able to built a Plateau of our dream. I therefore called on you, it is time to set away our differences, it is time to look at the bigger picture, it is time for us to think deep inside us and make sure that we find a space inside of each and every one of us to be able to admit those who have wrong us and let’s forget the past and forged the common future and I know that God will continue to help us.

“On our part as government we would continue to do our best to restore confidence in public service. I know that people have lost confidence overtime in what government ought to do. By the grace of God we would work assiduously and ensure that we govern with equity and justice.

“By the grace of God we have taken note of the challenged of the operations of tricycles and motorcycles are imposing. We have state clearly that were going to be strong on the rule of law. 

“Were going to ensure that law enforcement is appropriately observed in our state. And in the coming days definitely were going to sanitize the business of tricycles and motorcycles operators.

“We also want to appeal for our traders who have litre all the streets all around we cannot continued like that…

“While we cherish the fact that your making effort to find the means of livelihood, we are also pleading that you should do it in accordance with the rule of law. Therefore, we will becoming out in a coming days to ensure that we recover our streets to ensure there is sanity on the Plateau.We need your cooperation and understanding because we cannot do this alone. 

“Therefore, I want to continue to urged you to pray with us that God will continue to gives us the grace and the will to do that which is right. And as we do that which is right, we will ensured that we endeavor to work within the rule of justice, equity and good conscious.”
