Eid El Fitri: FCT District Head Calls for Improved Security, Seeks Divine Guidance for those in Authority
The District Head of Idu community, in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), the host community of Idu Industrial Area in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), HRH Ishaq Ibrahim has called for improved security across FCT communities and prayed for divine guidance for those in authority.

The District Head spoke to our man shortly after 2024 Eid-el- Fitri celebration in Abuja.
While appealing for support to the government in power, which if done, would help in bringing democracy dividends to the people, Ishaq Ibrahim hailed those within his domain for peaceful coexistence, even as he urged them to keep it on.
He also spoke at length on the benefits of promoting peace and having the fear of God and involving Him in everything one is doing.
Similarly, the village head of Idu, Chief Mohammed Bawa Makama and his Karmo counterpart, Chief Umar Garni Sarkin Karmo, all in the FCT also prayed for peace in their territory and Nigeria in general, even as they appealed to the Barr Nyesom Wike – led Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to as a matter of seriousness and urgency drive away land grabbers from their communities.
While hailing the minister’s performance so far and calling for tight security in the FCT communities, the Village Chief of Idu, Chief Muhammad Bawa Makama complained seriously how land grabbers have been denying them farm land, not to talk of the where their grown up children would build residential houses.
The village head cited an example of a vast area of land on Idu Industrial Area somebody who said he was from the presidency has attempted to forcefully take away from them.
He however, thanked God that the land grabber failed in his bid to confiscate their ancestral land. He further explained that when he went to AGIS, there was no allocation like that.
Thanking God for peaceful first Eid El Fitri celebration, the very first in the President Tinubu’s administration, he called his subjects to remain law abiding, and assured them that the FCT Minister would do something about their problems, even as he appealed for continued peaceful coexistence in his domain.
He appreciated those in authority for food items they have been sharing to people in some Northern states, which according to him is being shown in televisions, Makama however appealed to them to extend such gestures to those in his domain in the FCT, for them to have a sense of belonging.
Similarly, his counterpart of Karmo Sabo, decried forcefully grabbing of their farm land and residential lands by land grabbers, even as he prayed for good health for those in authority, saying that with good health and prayer to God, they would have wisdom to go about leadership.
The village head further sited demolition of residential houses beside and behind Karmo market. This he accused land grabbers of doing and condemned the act in its entirety.
