Gov. Lalong Commissions Ultramodern Local Government Secretariat Complex, 10 Years After Conception

Ahead of 29th May, 2023 hand over to the incoming administration, Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong has commissionef a multimillion Naira ultramodern Secretariat complex in Kanam Local Government council of the state.
The Kanam ultramodern building complex which was conceived since 2013 could not come to fruition by the successive council chairmen until the tenure of the present chairman, Hon. Dayyabu Garga.
Unveiling both the Secretariat edifice and JAMB examination center, Lalong reiterated that infrastructural development was one of the policy thrust of his administration, right from onset.
He thanked the entire LGA for supporting his administration to succeed, promised the relationship would continue waxing stronger even after he left office.
The Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, Dr. Dayyabu Garga acknowledged the project came to a reality as a result of team work cutting across the Executive and Legislative Arms of government in the council.
“Together with a wonderful team cutting across the executive and legislative arms we have been able to galvanize the challenges of our people and respond appropriately within lean resources available.
“We have ensured a very harmonious relationship exist between the diverse people of Kanam that has seen our area as one of the most peaceful and hospitable so far within the recent years,” Garga stated.
He further told Governor Lalong that, ” this no doubt couldn’t have been possible without your guidance as chief servant of the state.
“Today your are here in Kanam Local Government Area to commission projects this local government administration has executed for the good of our people.
“You will be commissioning this edifice which is the ultramodern Local Government Secretariat complex for our dear workers to enjoy a space and conducive environment for maximum job delivery.”
The council chairman also enumerates some of the achievements recorded within one and half years of his administration.
“Clinics to address health issues, class room blocks to accommodate students and pupils, solar street lights to enhance visibility and security at night, motorcycles for mobility by security agents in the locality, bridges linking several communities across the twenty wards of the Local Government Area among others.”
