Member representing Mangu South Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Bala Fwangji has stated that he don’t know why APC is challenging his victory at the Tribunal.

Hon.Fwangji who is Plateau 10th Assembly Chief Whip revealed that immediately after the pronouncement of Mangu South State constituency election by INEC which returned him elected his opponent from APC Mathew Kwarkpo had already congratulated him.

The Lawmaker who spoke to newsmen Tuesday at High Court premises Jos, after his counsel adopted a final written address to the Tribunal.

“It is APC that is challenging my seat.I think my brother Mathew Kwarkpo he supposed to be the first petitioner,but I don’t know even in the petition he didn’t signed any thing.I don’t whether APC and I go into the poll on 18th March, 2023, but let see how the day will end.

“I don’t expect APC could have done that because this mandate already the man we have contested with him had accepted the defeat wholistically and congratulas me but I don’t know why APC are challenging my victory”, Fwangji voiced out.

He expressed optimism that at the end of the Tribunal verdict he will emerged victories, noting that God who has been gracious to him in 2019 will also see him through this time around.

He confirmed there is relative peace in Mangu Local Government as the attacks reduced drastically due to prompt efforts and intervention of Governor Caleb Mutfwang and security agencies.

He call on Mangu populace and Plateau States in general to remain calm and steadfast in prayers as they go about their normal businesses.

The Lawmaker also described “Plateau Elders meeting” initiated by Governor Mutfwang which is the first of its kind as timely.

“One I could remember the governor said is that he want elders that if they see him face to face go astray they can be able to call him face to face, and I believed that is a spirit of leadership.

“When he unveiled his vision for Plateau, I believed with the relationship between the Executive arm and Legislatures by the grace of God there are laws that we would going to enact to suit the purpose of Plateau people, taking into account the narratives, vision and mission of the present administration to enhanced dividends of democracy in the state.”
