My Vision And Mission Is “Plateau First”, Says CP Onyeka

The newly Commissioner of police deployed to Plateau State, CP Bartholomew Onyeka stated that his priority is to uphold high sense of professionalism in discharging his responsibility, noting that ” Plateau first”.
CP Onyeka said, working hand in hand with the host communities to promote peace, security and safety in Plateau State through dedication, commitment and professionalism.
He said ” this I design after a careful study of the security challenges that are prevalent in Plateau State that includes; cattle rustling, armed banditry, reprisal attack, kidnapping/abduction, culpable homicide and to some extent farmers/herders clash.
Onyeka stated this during a familiarization with Journalists on Friday at the command headquarters in Jos, as he assumed duty, stating that Journalists and security personnel are partners in crime management and control in the State.
According to the new CP, ” in order to achieve this, management team and I have commenced the review of the existing crime fighting strategies so that we can meet up with the challenges of modern day Policing.
“Our combat readiness, determination and total commitment towards onslaught against vicious crime in partnership with the State Government, traditional rulers, community and religious leaders will be greatly improved and sustained”.
He said human right violation, corrupt practices and other unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated.
You could recall CP Bartholomew Onyeka who succeeded the outgoing CP Edward Egbuka, has assumed duty on the 4th November, 2021.
