NAF Intensifies Search, Recovery Operations In Igbokoda, Following The Recent Crash Of Military Aircraft
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the direction of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, continues to lead and coordinate search and recovery efforts following the accident involving NAF ATR 42 aircraft, NAF 931, in Igbokoda, Ondo State.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, disclosed this in Abuja, on Wednesday.
The Air Force spokesman informed that the CAS has commended the dedication and professionalism of NAF personnel and the invaluable support of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ondo State Government, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Amotekun Corps, Hi-Tech Construction Company, local authorities, community leaders and volunteers.
He noted that the coordinated efforts reflect the strong spirit of inter-agency cooperation and collective national service in times of adversity.
Air Marshal Aneke reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to pursuing the recovery operation diligently, safely and in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
He assured the public that appropriate updates will continue to be provided as the search and recovery operation progresses, while appreciating Nigerians and other stakeholders for their solidarity, prayers and support.
