NCPC Boss Pam, Venmak Bags NANS Meritorious Award

The Executive Secretary of Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam alongside the executive chairman of Langtang South Local Government Council, Hon. Vincent Venmak has received an award of excellence for meritorious service to humanity by the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Zone C.

The award presentation which was held in Jos Plateau State capital on Saturday also heralded with NANS Zone C magazine launching titled “The Titan”.

It was observed that Rev. Pam has been honored by NANS as pacesetter and change maker while Hon. Vincent Venmak is recognized as the most outstanding Local Government chairman.

The NCPC Secretary said, first and foremost I am so excited, I am happy that today the students from my own zone, North Central Nigeria honored me by given an award. This to me is more than anything, is more than an award that is giving to me elsewhere; America, Israel or anywhere in the part of the world because those from your background know you more than any body.

“I believed they most have taken their time to look at all that I have been doing from the beginning to this very moment before they have their conclusion to call me, and you know they said that charity begins at home. And I believe that this is an award that is going to give me a booster to do more and is going to strengthen me to also stand firm in defending Nigerians, standing for Nigerians in our duty and also to execute my duties in fairness and the fear of God.

“While, to the Nigerian Students, our students of today should imbibe the life of discipline and imbibe the life of investing in their time because if they have been excusing their time building on laziness and also trying to copy people who are not contributing anything to the society.

“And because we are not encouraging labor and hardworking we have been seeing people who are living a luxury lifestyle and based on that I want to encourage our young people to discard laziness and any vices and corruption that is eating very deep in our society.

“So criminality is one of the issues that has made our students today who are not continue with their education and they drop out from school, so I encourage them to stand firm and make sure they continue with their studies with vigor”, he stated.

Pam also revealed that the multiple of unsolved problem by the past leaders is the major reason why Nigeria found itself in dilemma today, calling on younger generation to be more determinant come 2023 by voting God fearing leaders that can salvage the country from the present challenges.

Speaking on topic of youths towards 2023, Dr. Kingsley Okonoda charged the youths to cultivate the appetite of adventure, courage and imagination to change the narrative of governance.

According to him, ” rather than allowing themselves to be used by politicians as agents of violence the youth should be people of purpose and meaning by demanding for good governance always. Check the antecedents of people your going to vote in 2023 before voting them”.

Coordinator NANS Zone C, Comrade Abah Owoicho Abah acknowledged that the current ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is the clear and enough signal send to students ahead of 2023.
