Nigeria Silent Heroes Award Holds her Fifth Edition, Launches Maiden Compendium on Nigeria’s Unsung Heroes

The Nigeria Silent Heroes Award (NSHA), held her fifth annual awards on Saturday, Sept 16, 2023, at Abuja Continental Hotel, formerly known as Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja

The event was organised by Mr. Odita Sunday-Udemaguna, and Mrs. Ozioma Odita Sunday who is the project coordinator of NSHA.

The award was organized to honour individuals for their service to humanity, ranging from security forces to captains of industry.

Others are Lawmakers, Judiciary, Civil Servants, Clergy men and women, Technocrats, Traditional Rulers, Farmers, Artisans as well as others from various walks of life.

The organizers also launched a compendium, on Silent Hereos who are largely unsung in their enormous contributions to uplift humanity.

The Compendium, titled, NIGERIA’s SILENT HEROES volume 1, is a detailed documentation of Nigerian Achievers who are into security, captains of industry, oil and gas, real estate, journalism, etc.

The Royal Father of the day was Oba Adewale Akanbi Telu, the Paramount Ruler of Iwo land, while, special guests of honour includes, Heirs Holding CEO, Mr Tony Elumelu (CFR); Mr. Monte Lucky Ehiwuogwu, MD/CEO Monaco Ventures; and Sir Mike Ejiofor (Fsi), former Director DSS, Acp Muyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer; Mr Patrick Agbambu CEO, Security Watch Africa Initiatives; Mr. Dozy Mmobuosi, CEO, Tingo Inc.; Dr. Mabel Magbulu, MD/CEO Eagle Heights Properties and Investment; and Dame Pauline Tallen, immediate past Minister of Women Affairs.

Highlights of the event was the investiture of Dr Nuhu Solomon Antegwu as the Patron of the Silent Heroes Award Initiatives.

Those who received awards of various categories at the event include, Deacon Sunday Chukwumanjo who was awarded the Silent Hero in Business and Industry, Umeoduagu, CEO of GABJANE Global Resources Limited; Chief Kelvin Jombo Onumah, bagged the Silent Hero in Philanthropy; HM Obi Ezedimbu Emmanuel, received a Silent Hero in Traditional Leadership; Dr Ebenezer Onyeagwu, also bagged the Silent Hero in ICT Development.

Other awardees are, Mr Oliver Alawuba; Silent Hero in Transparent Banking Culture; Dr Solomon Arase, Silent Hero in Integrity and Good Governance; Rev Mercy Ezekiel, Silent Hero of Faith; CP Idowu Owohunwa, Silent Hero in Policing; Dr Daniel Olukoya, Silent Hero of Faith; and Cardinal James, Silent Hero in Leadership.

Others include Mayor Bolivia Osigbemhe, Silent Hero in Music Industry; Desmond Utomweh, Silent Hero in Journalism (New Media); Engr. A. Chichi Philip-Orioha, Silent Hero in Education Development; Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, Silent Hero in Local Government Administration; Barr. Samuel Ihensekhien, Silent Hero in Law and Advocacy; Dr. Adebayo Adedokun, Silent Hero in Medicine; and Mr. Frank Oshanugor, Silent Hero in Journalism (Print Media and Book Publishing).

Others are, Hajia Husnah Nacho, Silent Hero in Business and Enterprise; Austine Adigwe, Silent Hero in Gospel Music; Chief Patrick Eholor, Silent Hero in Tourism, Hospitality Development; RT. Hon. Ahmad Chindo, a Silent Political Hero; Hon. Innocent Esewezie, a Silent Hero in Integrity and Good Governance; Alhaji Musa Mohammed, a Silent Hero in Trade Facilitation; Dibie Charles, Silent Hero in Farming and Food Security; and Haidar Daik, another Silent Hero; and Pastor Nobert Sochukwudinma, Silent Hero in Leadership and Grassroot Politics.
