Nigeria To Host Africa In Nations Cup In July

The second edition of the Africa Mini Football Confederation Cup of Nations has been scheduled to hold in Ibadan the capital of Oyo state in Nigeria from July 8-17.

Coordinator of Mini Football in North Central states of Nigeria, Batako Umar Lapai who disclosed this in Abuja said the President of Africa Mini Football Confederation Achraf Ben Saliha in company of Representatives of the world body will arrive Nigeria next month on inspection visits.

“The delegates will aside inspecting facilities in Ibadan will also pay a courtesy call on the minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Dare on May 18-20. In their schedule are also visits to the Senate committee chairman on Sports and the NFF

“Twenty countries including host Nigeria are expected to participate in the competition which Ivory coast is the defending champions. Other countries expected to participate are Ghana, Senegal, Tunisia, Zambia, Egypt and Morocco,” Malam Lapai stated

According to the coordinator,
Mozambique, Libya, Mali, South Africa, Algeria Djibouti, DR Congo, Burkina Faso, Benin, Somalia Kenya and host Nigeria have given their words to take part. Each country is expected to come with a 25 member contingent
