Plateau Governorship Race: Allow Delegates To Decide Who Becomes Party’s Candidate-Chief Margif Task APC Executive

A chieftain and governorship aspirant of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, in Plateau State come 2023 general elections, Chief Yohanna Margif has tasked APC officials in the state to allow the party flag bearer to be emerged through delegates process rather than consensus during party’s primaries.
You would recall the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has directed all political parties to primaries elections between May and June 2022.
However, over 25 aspirants under APC platform have since indicated interest vying for the governorship seat in Plateau.
Margif said any attempt to Jettisoned delegates election process and embrace consensus means portends danger for the party in the state.
He hinted this on Saturday in Jos the State capital as he declared intention to contest for the seat of governorship of Plateau in 2023 elections.
According to Margif, I am aspiring for the position of number citizen of Plateau because I have a deep conviction of transforming the state considering my track records of philanthropic disposition.
He said: ” I dare say that my coming on board into the governorship race of Plateau State is a good omen for our great state because of my numerous contributions to the sustenance of peace in Plateau and Nigeria at large.
“Having traversed through the length and breadth I know the yearnings and aspirations of ordinary Plateau citizens in various part.”
He revealed that if given the opportunity to serve the state his manifestos will hinged on; security, justice, infrastructural development, agriculture revolution, economy, job creation, education, health, tourism among other sectors.
The gubernatorial aspirant also said, ” I am convinced beyond doubt that we have the creativity, the courage, the talents and the resources to be the foremost state in Nigeria. Let us know birth the expectation of greatness conceived generation before us.
“Let our tribes become one tribe; where all are treated fairly, justly and with respect where all are given equal access to the abundant opportunities that God has bestowed on this state.”
