Police Apprehended 8 Criminal Suspects In Plateau

About eight (8) criminal suspects were apprehended by the Nigerian Police Force, Plateau State Command over armed robbery, culpable homicide, theft, cultism and unlawful possession of firearms.
The suspects said were arrested in various locations of the crime they have committed in the state.
Parading the suspects at the Command’s headquarters in Jos on Friday, Plateau State Police Commissioner, CP Bartholomew N.Onyeka said since he took over the mantle of leadership on 4th November, 2021, the Command has rejik the strategies policing in the state hence the success recorded.
He harps on synergy and collaboration between the Police and other security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders and other critical stakeholders in combating crime and criminality in the state.
According to the Police commissioner, ” within the period under review, the Plateau State Police Command has recorded some operational driven successes in the arrest of criminal elements that are bent on making the job of policing on the Plateau difficult and ensuring that some law abiding citizens of the state experience pains and anguish.
“Their arrest led to the recovery of arms, ammunition and other unlawful implements that aid them in their unlawful trade”, he stated.
Our correspondent observed that amongst the 8 suspects paraded are; two culpable homicide, one arm robbery, two unlawful possession of firearms, one cultist, two criminal conspiracy and theft.
The Police commissioner revealed that all the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
He urged the general public to always avail Police with a timely, light and credible information that would aid in riding criminal elements from their hideout so that to make Plateau and Nigeria a crime free society.
