Rep Member, Gagdi Present Relief Materials To Victims Of Kanam Attacks.

The Member representing Pankshin/ Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency in the National Assembly Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has presented relief materials to victims of the recent attacks by bandits in Kanam Local Government of Plateau State.
He called of the State and the Federal Government to equally do same by reaching out to addressed the humanitarian crisis recoded as a result of the unfortunate attacks on innocent locals in his constituency.
Gagdi made this call at weekend while presenting the items at Garga town of Kanam LGA of Plateau State.
Some of the items presented are bags of rice, matrices, jerricans of groundnut oils, roofing sheet, clothes for both adults, aged and children amongst others.
According to the Lawmaker, his little best may not be enough and urged other spirited individuals to also reached out to survivors of the attacks both at home and those in the hospitals, “I have done my best, I have donated 100 bundle of zinc to them, 100 matrices, 10 motorcycles because they lost 8 motorcycles so I gave them 10.
“I also gave them 100 pieces of clothes for adults men, and 100 pieces of clothes for adults female, 100 yards materials for men, 100 yards for women, 100 clothes for the female children as well as 100 for the male children.”
The Lawmaker amongst other food items donated the sum of N2.5 million to help mitigate their immediate suffering, “I equally donated bags of rice, jerricans of groundnut oil and donated N2.5 million to them.”
He expressed optimism that the Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong as well as the Federal Government will also respond positively with some interventions to the affected persons.
“So I am equally expecting the Federal Government to do something and also my Governor who has responded well to do something for the communities.”
Gagdi expressed concerned that the incident is coming at a time the farming communities are supposed to be clearing their farms in preparation for the farming season fast approaching.
