report on annual review of joint task force, the operational activities from January to December 2024.

JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION HADIN KAI (NORTH EAST)

Troops of OP HADIN KAI remained focussed on fighting terrorist and their cohorts across the NE theatre of operation. The troops conducted offensives striking at terrorist enclaves with air attacks. The ground forces on the other hand exerted significant military pressure on terrorist hibernating in their hide out and enclaves.
Overall, during the month of November 2024, troops of Operations HADIN KAI neutralized 347 terrorists, arrested 268 suspects and rescued 111 kidnapped hostages. Additionally, troops recorded 299 surrendered BH/ISWAP terrorists combatants and their families.
The summary of recovered items include: 183 AK47 rifles, 53 fabricated rifles, 42 dane guns, 26 assorted arms, 3,956 rounds of 7.62mm special ammo, 1,235 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 2,721 assorted ammunitions.

JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION SAFE HAVEN (NORTH CENTRAL)

Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN conducted offensive operations to dominate the theatre of Operation during the month of November 2024. Significantly, several operations were conducted violent extremist hideouts, strongholds and enclaves.
Overall, troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN neutralized 48 violent extremist, arrested 170 and rescued 154 kidnap hostages. Troops also recovered 19 AK47 rifles, 18 fabricated guns, 12 assorted arms, 665 rounds of 7.62mm special, 333 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 127 assorted ammunitions.

OPERATION WHIRL STROKE (NORTH CENTRAL)

Troops of Op WHIRL STROKE conducted several operations during the month of November 2024 ranging from search and rescue, raids, fighting patrols as well as cordon and search among others. These operations spanned Benue, Taraba, and Nasarawa States aimed at defeating terrorist and creating conditions whereby the terrorist is denied the ability to carry out terror or harm citizens.

Overall, troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE neutralized 22 terrorists, arrested 82 suspects and rescued 79 kidnapped hostages. Troops also recovered 18 AK47 rifles, 12 assorted arms, 304 rounds of 7.62mm special ammo and 103 rounds of assorted ammunition.

JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION HADARIN DAJI (NORTH WEST)

During the month of November 2024, troop of Operation HADARIN DAJI neutralized 230 terrorists, arrested 228 suspects and rescued 288 kidnap hostages. Additionally, troops recovered 116 AK47 rifles, 13 fabricated guns, 81 assorted arms, 3,286 rounds of 7.62mm special, 1,179 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 463 assorted ammunitions.

Troops of Operation WHIRL PUNCH recorded the following in the month of November 2024. Troops neutralized 6 terrorists, arrested 495 suspects and rescued 3 kidnap hostages.
Troops equally recovered 2 AK47 rifles, 28 assorted arms, 216 rounds of 7.62mm special, 101 rounds of 7.62mm NATO and 28 assorted ammunitions.

JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION DELTA SAFE (SOUTH SOUTH)

Troops of Op DELTA SAFE maintained the momentum against the activities of crude oil theft. Troops continued to find and destroyed illegal refining sites as well as arrest the perpetrators of oil theft. Indeed, troops operations spiked the nation’s daily crude oil production to over 1.5 million barrels per day.
Nevertheless, troops are urging for more transparency by the IOCs, accurate metering, cooperation of stakeholders in the sector and well cooperation from the local communities. Troops are also monitoring the prosecution of culprits perpetrating crude oil theft.
During the month of November 2024, troops of Operation DELTA SAFE arrested 231 persons involved in crude oil theft. Troops also denied the oil theft of 4,728,870 litres of crude oil, 2,024,955 litres of AGO and 19,845 litres of PMS.
Furthermore, troops recovered 323 assorted ammunition and destroyed 280 wooden boats as well as 378 illegal refining sites.

JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION UDO KA (SOUTH EAST)

Troops of Operation UDO KA conducted offensive operations against IPOB/ESN terror group in several SE states killing terrorist, making arrest and recoveries of weapons. Accordingly, IPOB /ESN incidents were recorded in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Imo and Enugu States.
Overall, troops of Op UDO KA in the month of November 2024, neutralized 41 terrorists, arrested 80 suspects and rescued 32 kidnap hostages.
Additionally, troops recovered 9 AK47 rifles, 30 pump action guns 46 assorted arms, 743 live cartridges and 621 assorted ammunition.
