Ukah Seek Citizens Participation In Devt. Of DCTDA

The Director General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DCTDA), Chief Patrick Ukah, has appealed to the various tribes living in the DCTDA to live in peace and foster a mutual coexistence among themselves.
Addressing newsmen at the Olorogun Felix Ibru Secretariat in Asaba ,the DG said, the security and beauty of the State Capital starts from the Airport, as it creates an impression of what the State Capital will look like. He said the Govt. has been in contact with the various security agencies in the State and other stakeholders on how to maintain a zero tolerance to crime and other social vices that might distrupt activities at the territory. . He urged the people to report any suspicious move to the security agents
Speaking further, the former SSG said the govt. is also speeding up actions to complete all road project and other infrastructural development in the capital territory, saying that more people will be employed to sweep the road and more dump sites will be provided
Concerning improper refuse disposal, the DG said it’s agency will soon carry out a road show on keeping the city clean, and will also do a door to door awareness to sensitize the people on the need to keep a clean environment and proper refuse disposal. After this, govt will now set up a task force and a mobile court that will prosecute offenders of improper refuse disposal. He then advised residence not to erect illegal structures in the capital territory, warning that such structure will be demolished without compensation. Finally, he called on the media to help disseminate the information, as this will go a long way to achieve the desired goal.
This is the first press conference the Director General will be having with men of the pen profession since he assumed office.
