From Marcel Duru, Owerri

The CEO of Hope Media Oganization Mr Ogu Bundu has revealed why Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Lost disgracefully in February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections in Imo state.

Speaking with journalists in Imo State recently, he said that
It still baffles badly dazed leaders and members of the overwhelmed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State how, with a sitting National Secretary, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, who doubled as the Chairman, Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Imo State and Apex Leader of Imo PDP, the party still lost the 2023 general elections in the State in very woeful ways and manners.

He stated that the Imo PDP with Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri, Rt. Hon. Uche Onyeagucha, Rt. Hon. Jerry Alagbaso, Rt. Hon. ThankGod Ezeani, Chief Eze Duruiheoma SAN, Chief Alloysius Igwe, and a host of other renowned figures in Nigeria and Imo politics.

“What really transpired and brought Imo PDP to all-time worst election and electoral outing? What orchestrated the shame and disgrace suffered by Imo PDP in the 2023 elections”

Ogubundu further revealed that a number of factors have been isolated as the main causes of the fall of Imo PDP and Ihedioha in the political algebra and equation, calculus and ratings in Imo State.

According to him, Ihedioha’s unfounded arrogance, prides and prejudices, bravado and braggadocio. Second is Ihedioha’s greed and avarice for power and money. Third is Ihedioha’s false mien and posture of omniscience and omnipotence in politics, Imo politics and Imo politicking.

“Now, with the failure of Imo PDP and Ihedioha to win Imo State for PDP in the 2023 general elections, pundits are already expressing fears of the potency of the impotent party for the November 11, 2023 governorship election in the State.”

He reiterated that the general consensus attitude of relevant pundits is that the chances of the shamed and disgraced party have been further eroded and hampered by their very abysmal performance in the 2023 general elections,
adding that coming in third on the winners table in the presidential election, Imo PDP and Ihedioha lost woefully in Owerri Zone, their strongest base and bloc vote zone.

Orlu zone and Okigwe zone haven’t really proved to be faithful to Imo PDP and Ihedioha, since 2015, when the crafty impish Aronta Mbutu, Aboh Mbaise political merchant, violently took over all power in Imo PDP, scheming out all other big leaders of the once big party.

Ogubundu highlighted that the terrible situation in Imo PDP isn’t helped by the tenacious and persistent insistence by Ihedioha to grab and fly the party’s guber flag for the third unsuccessful times since 2015.

Stressing that the gossip arena in Imo State has began to rub minds on how an Ihedioha that was roundly defeated in his own personal polling units in Aronta in February will win in the same polling unit in November.

“Honestly, this isn’t the best of times for Ihedioha. It’s his season of diminishing returns and low sales. It appears this is the harbinger Ihedioha’s the time of Ihedioha’s political twilight in elective politics, after unbroken two decades, 2003-2023.”

“Fortunately, in less than 60 days, Imo PDP will go into the all-important guber primary polls to decide who will be the party’s standard bearer in the November 11 governorship election.

Then, it’ll be determined whether Imo PDP will be so hooked to the hypnotized captivity of Ihedioha.”
