Youths advise to turn a new life

Youths in Abia State have been advised to turn a new life, and stop playing football during the monthly clean up exercise. And also the people residing in Abia State have been advised to always adhere to government directives.
The State Commissioner for Environment, Mr Sam Nwogu gave the advised during the January monthly sanitation exercise in Umuahia, Abia State capital.
Mr Nwogu decried the habit of Abia residents, for not obeying government directive on the Abia state basic environmental laws.
He condemned the attitude of our youths who decided to play street football during the period of the exercise, and advised them to change, and turn to a new life by cleaning their surroundings during exercise.
Mr Nwogu observed that tricycle operators, motorists and other road users always go about their normal businesses, while the shop owners opens up their own businesses during the exercise and call on them to rethink.
Our correspondent reports that most of the umuahia residents were only attracted to a scene of the fire outbreak that took place at the Master energy’s filling station, Aba road, umuahia, the state capital, which coincided with the clean up exercise during the monthly clean up exercise. .
