2023: Obi replies Kwankwaso Comments
By Urube peter, Abuja
The Labour party presidential candidate Mr peter Obi has reacted to the purported comments made by Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP presidential candidate that the North will not vote for an Igbo man in 2023.
Obi while responding to a television interview program on Arise TV, simply stated the obvious that “The comments by my elder brother Kwankwaso is the reason we have 100 million Nigerians living in poverty, 18 million Nigerian children out of school, and about 52% of Nigerians either unemployed or under employed, Rather than vote for competent leaders, we will rather vote for incompetence due to a primitive belief of religion and ethnicity”.
He began to asked petinent questions, tell me, today you can’t travel from Abuja to Kaduna by road or rail, is it because someone from the south East is in charge? The same thing goes for Minna road that you can’t travel, is it south East that is in charge?”
The former governor of Anambra state also referrence to bandit attack on president muhammadu Buhari convoy, in katsina. Is it because someone from the South East is in charge?
Show me where people are prospering in the North or South.
The indomitable presidential Labour party candidate insisted, what we have consistently done in this country is to hire vehicle drivers to fly airplanes as pilots, instead of hiring qualified pilots.
He concluded by saying, “we have a huge problem and if you don’t know, this country will soon default on their debt servicing. Schools are shut down, insecurity is everywhere. Nigeria is in a coma and when you are in a coma, all you want is to survive, irrespective of where the surgeon who will keep you alive comes from”.
Recall, the political gladiators agitating for joint tickets for both candidature of either parties of the Labour party, LP or New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP as one for president, and other for Vice, (VP) to form the unbearable winning team come 2023 presidential election.
