Plateau Assembly Passed Vote Of Confidence On Speaker, Abok, Slams Suspend Erring Members

Plateau State House of Assembly members has passed the vote of confidence on the speaker Rt. Hon. Abok Nuhu Ayuba on Thursday following the illegal Impeachment orchestrated against him.
You would recall the speaker Rt. Hon. Abok was impeached by 9 out of the 24 members of the state Assembly.
The vote of confidence password for Rt. Hon.Abok Nuhu Ayuba come to the fore following the plenary of the 9th Assembly held Thursday around 2:00pm.
However, six erring members of the House who were among those that perpetrated the illegal Impeachment process of Rt. Hon. Abok Ayuba were suspended.
Addressing Journalists on the development the members revealed that
“Motion made and Question proposed: That Hon. Philip Dasun do now move his motion for suspension of Honourble Members that breached the procedures of the House.
“Question put and agreed to.
“Resolved in the affirmative.
“The six Honourble Members suspended will face Committee on Judiciary, Ethics and Privileges. They are
- Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil from Mikang Constituency.
- Hon. Yakubu Sanda from Pengana Constituency.
- Rt. Hon. Saleh Shehu Yipmwang from Dengi Constituency
- Rt. Hon. Baba Hassan Ibrahim from Jos North North Constituency
- Hon. Eric Dakogol from Quanpan North
- Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Ballo Quanpan South.
“The House passed another vote of confidence on Rt. Hon. Abok Nuhu Ayuba the Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly
“Twelve Honourable Members were at the plenary with two apologies making a total of fourteen in attendance in line with House Rule”, the members stated.
