Group Empowers Women Entrepreneurs In Asaba

In what looks like a jackpot for women in Asaba, a Non Governmental Organization, Chybee Enterpreneurship Foundation For Women, empowered Ten (10) women enterpreneurs, with the sum of, One Hundred Thousand Naira (100,000) each to support their businesses
According to the CEO of the organization ,Mrs. Chinyere Chukwudi Zimako ,(Chybee) the empowerment will be a continues process that will be done two to three times a year. She said the next grant will include those who didn’t make it to the final stage this time.
Mrs Chinyere said the business she started with a token , has today, blossomed into a big enterprise. She urged women to be zealous and committed in their effort to become financially independent .

Also, the philanthropist advised women not to be ashamed of what they do for a living as long as it’s legal. She maintained that women should not depend on their spouse for everything, but become industrious by doing something to support their family, adding that financial independent for women is a goal that must be achieved .
Meanwhile, the resource person for the event, coach Churchill, gave a training on how to support and promote your business. He highlighted five major points needed to grow business, some of which include, identifying your customers , partnership , branding , marketing and promotion.

The Women Business Support Grant is a pet project of Chybee Enterpreneurship Foundation For Women and it’s an empowerment scheme to support women who are into various business, as well as give opportunities to those who are financially handicapped. Some of the dignitaries who graced the occasion include, Mrs Orode Uduaghan, Commissioner For Humanitarian And Girl Child Enterpreneurship and Barr. Bridget Anyafulu, Member Rep. Oshimili South in the State House Of Assembly
