Sector 2 Operationi FANSAN YAMMA Troops Rescue 15 Kidnap Victims, Repel Terrorist Attack In Kebbi
Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued 15 kidnapped victims after successfully repelling a terrorist attack in Marge, Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The operation, conducted on Saturday, July 11, 2026, followed credible intelligence indicating the presence of armed terrorists carrying out criminal activities in the area. Acting swiftly on the information, troops mobilised to Marge, where they encountered the terrorists.
A fierce gun battle ensued as the troops engaged the criminals with superior firepower. Unable to withstand the military assault, the terrorists fled into the surrounding bush, abandoning their captives in the process.
The successful operation was carried out without any casualties among the troops, underscoring the professionalism and effectiveness of the soldiers involved.
All 15 rescued victims were safely reunited with their families shortly after the operation, bringing relief to their loved ones and the affected community.
