The leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, was yesterday brought into the country few days back and re-arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja to begin the continuation of his trial for treasonable felony.
Nigerians has been debating the place of his arrest and many Nigerians were of the opinion that,Mr, Kanu being a citizen of United Kingdom (UK) won’t have easily be given up by the the Uk government.
But Reliable security sources told Century newspaper yesterday that Kanu was rearrested in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia by Interpol following an intensive search for him by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) in collaboration with its foreign counterparts.
Undisclosed sources claimed ,Kanu was wooed with a beautiful Nigerian lady ,who was secretly working for the NiA (national intelligence agency).
It was saythat,Kanu was wooed to Addis Ababa by the lady when he arrived at the hotel waiting for the lady only for him to find out that the hotel is a haven of secret agents controlled by the Nigerian state .
He was then immediately tranquilized with high dose of an anxiety drug, then tucked into an already waiting Cadillac and driven to the Santiago international airport where a private jet was already waiting to fly him back to Nigeria.
He was brought into the country on sunday night by the secret service which eventually led to the suspension of Mr.President trip to UK,the source claimed.
The sources say, till Kanu was brought into the country,President Buhari was not even aware of his capture,(IT WAS AN ULTRA SECRET MISSION ,A MISSION HIDDEN EVEN FROM THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF HIMSELF)
Buhari was only notified when Kanu arrived the country which was the reason for cancellation of his medical trip to London,so he could have a one on One chat with Kanu the sources say.
Kanu ‘disappeared into thin air, 14th September 2017 following the storming of his parent’s compound in Afaraukwu, Abia State, by a detachment of Nigeria soldiers.
The federal government has been concerned over Kanu escape his both,Nigerian and British passports were still in the custody of the Federal High Court in Abuja, there were strong suspicions that Kanu got the support of the United Kingdom High Commission in Nigeria for his escape. That was later proved to be the case.
