Alleged corrupt leadership: NATCOM disown Mohammed as Ag DG, Adegbenro Warns Public Against Former DG

A faction of national leadership of the National Commission for the Coordination and Control of Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons, (NATCOM), has warned the general public against dealing with the former Acting Director General (Ag DG) of NATCOM, Baba Mohammed describing him as a greedy, selfish and self centered man that cannot lead people.
The group therefore warned the public, especially the unsuspecting Nigerians against dealing with the self styled Director General.
In a strong worded statement of disclaimer personally signed by the Acting Director Generaal of NATCOM,
Otunba Dr. Adejare Rewane Adegbenro which was made available to journalists in Abuja yesterday, he said Mohammed’s removal was anchored on the vote of no confident passed on him by the council of state Dorector’s/Commandants of NATCOM on 3rd June, 2023 where the incumbent Acting Director General of NATCOM was elected as the Director General/Executive Chairman.
NATCOM leadership, according to the statement also accused Mohammed of fraud and incompetent to lead the interventionist agency.
Dr. Adegbenro according to the statement said NATCOM is currently undergoing serious reformation and clensing owing to defects of a two and half years mal- administration of Mohammed.
He further warned the general public against dealing with Mohammed as anybody who does so is at his or her own risk.
Consequently, the leadership of NATCOM also warned unsuspecting job seekers to shun Baba Mohammed and his fake letters of appointment as anybody found wanting will face the wrath of the law.

Although when contacted, Baba Mohammed treated the allegation with a wave of hand, describing it as fake. In defence of his stand, he however said that such has never happened in the organization, adding that he was the one who ensured that the organisation’s bill was passed into law.
