Bauchi Chief Imam Wants Muslim Ummahs to improve Parental Supervision

The Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosques, Malam Bala Ahmad has called on the entire Muslim Ummahs to improve parental supervision and monitoring of their children in the society, to ensure that they’re associating themselves with good members of the society.
The chief Imam who made the calls during Eid-Kabir Sallah sermon at the Eid prayer ground in Bauchi, noted that many youths in the state are involved in different social vices that causes more harm than good in the community
The Imam equally noted that this is a collective responsibility of all of us across the society and the country in general to make sure proper upbringing and supervision of our children
He expressed great dismay that some faceless group of youths have inculcated the habits of going to people’s houses during night time to steal their properties and other valuable items from them through intimidation and other forms of threats.
Imam Ahmad, urged every parents to “monitor the movement of their children and know the type of friends they mingle with to avoid engaging into bad attitudinal practices.
According to the Imams, “Today the situation is becoming alarming, people can no longer sleep with their eyes closed as a result of the activities of bad youths in some areas within the metropolitan city of Bauchi.
The imam also used the period to urged people to intensified prayers for this year’s raining season and pray for bumper harvests.
Imam Ahmad after the sermon lead two raka’at prayers and later performed the sacrifice of slaughtering his Ram to allow every Muslim to do same as enshrined in the Islamic perspectives.
Century news updates reports that the deputy governor of the State Rt Hon Auwal Mohammed Jatau was among others dignitaries that witnessed this year Eid-el-Kabir Sallah.
