Bauchi Sports Writers Hold 2022 Inter-Media Sports Competition To Foster Unity, Friendship Among Members

Bauchi State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), is set to kick start the 2022 edition of its annual Inter-Media sports competition.
The event is to commence on Monday 27th June and end on Saturday 2nd July 2022 during which various sporting events will be competed for by members.
Activities outlined for the week long event according to the Chairman, Mahmoud Yakubu Mohammed that includes, Opening Ceremony/Workshop on Monday 27th by 10am at the NUJ Secretariat.
Also, Football matches will hold daily by 4pm daily, from Monday to Friday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS) Stadium, Bauchi among the participating media houses in the state.
Scrabble and Table tennis will hold on Tuesday, 28/07/2022 by 10am also at the NUJ Secretariat while Badminton holds on Tuesday, 29/06/2022 by 10am at the Sani Abacha Gymnasium.
Members of SWAN will also pay solidarity visits to families of some deceased members by 2pm on Wednesday 30/06/2022 in demonstration of the spirit of being together.
The week-long activities will be rounded up with an award presentation/ closing ceremony on Saturday 2nd July by 10am at Development Exchange Center (DEC), Kaduna Road GRA, Bauchi during which outstanding members for the year will be recognized.
SWAN however appealed that only staff of the various media organizations operating in the state should be used stressing that it is not a do or die affair but an avenue to interact and build friendships.
SWAN therefore is calling on all members to actively participate in all activities lined up for the week in order to build stronger friendships and exercise the body as the event is meant for relaxation and acquaintances.
