Camouflage Under Kaftan: Troops Strike Terrorists in Zamfara, Neutralise Fighter With PKT Gun Photos
Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have neutralised a suspected terrorist during a counter-terrorism and anti-banditry operation in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The troops, deployed around Galadi in Sokoto State, reportedly sighted suspected terrorists riding motorcycles while attempting to cross a road in the Shinkafi area.
The troops engaged the suspects with fire, killing one of the terrorists, while others reportedly fled the scene.

Upon inspection of the deceased suspect, the troops discovered that he was wearing a woodland camouflage vest underneath his traditional kaftan, an indication of his apparent affiliation with the armed group.
Further exploitation of the suspect’s mobile phone reportedly revealed photographs of him wearing a camouflage vest and brandishing a PKT machine gun.
The troops recovered four mobile phones and the sum of N30,350 from the deceased suspect.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by security forces under Operation FANSAN YAMMA to disrupt terrorist and bandit activities across the North-West.
