Coriftech Solutions Limited, has held a one day summit for , Women In Tech. The event which converged youth and students from all accross the State, was held at the Delta State ICT hub, Okpanam Road , Asaba.

In her welcome address, the convener of the summit and the CEO of Coriftech Solutions Limited, Cynthia Orife, said the programme is geared towards building a better future for women, adding that innovation knows no bound or gender, in the world of technology. She maintained that women’s full potential and ingenuity in the world of technology remains untapped , hence the summit, to unlock and unchain the barriers that are holding them back for a new era of possibility. Finally, she said the objective of the event is to bring about economic development as well as key into the M. O. R. E Agenda.

Also speaking, the Commissioner For Humanitarian And Girl Child Development, Miss Orode Meyiwa Uduaghan, described an enterpreneur as someone who can create and manage a business venture. She said for a business to succeed , it must have a business plan, saying that one must be intentional in order to start up a business. She highlighted some of the challenges in a business to include, lack of funds, logistics, debtors and expansion, suggesting that , ideas, market research, team building and registration of business are ways to tackle it.

Meanwhile, an SA to the governor , Dr. Oke Ighewane, has described the convener of the summit, Cynthia Orife ,as a yes person, who is always ready and is with the belief, that it can be done and achieved. He said that govt. will partner with Coriftech and support their effort in trying to better the life of women. He hinted that his office is collecting a data for genuine students and youth in Delta State and act in line with the M. O. R. E Agenda.

Other speakers at the event are, Dr. Enyi Adaora, the COO and co founder of Oncopqchi Technologies Limited, Mr. Aima Atigari, a community manager and IT expert and Mrs. Chukwura Nkechi Patience .

This is the maiden edition of Women In Tech Summit in Delta State and more than 200 participants attended the programme. Subsequent editions will be held in time to come.

The theme of the event is “Building Bold Women In Tech For Economic Development.
