Doma LG Chairman Assures Citizens of Better Governance.

Doma local government Council chairman in Nasarawa state, Hon. Ahmed Usman Sarki has said that, he is determined to leave Doma local government Council better than he met it.
Sarki made this remarks with journalists when he hosted them on Monday in his office.
According to the Chairman, his administration’s policy would be inline with the policy of the state governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state.
He said, he wants Doma local government to be economically viable so that the local government would not rely on monthly federal allocations, but the internal generated revenue should be enough to add in developing Doma local government to be one of the best developed local governments in the country.
The Doma local government chairman commended governor Abdullahi Sule for the rapid Development in state as well as the maintenance of peace and security which he said, the coming on board of governor Abdullahi Sule as governor of Nasarawa state.
The LG chairman say, he is working stakeholders to ensure that the people of the local government lives peacefully with one another.
Sarki further explained that when he came on board as chairman, Doma local government Council, he met over 7,000 who are oweing two months salary arrears, he was able to pay the salary, and is doing all he could to ensure the payments of salary arrears and pensions owed by the local government pensioners.
On the revenue generation of the local government, Sarki said,”When I came on board, Doma local government was realising #6,000 weekly as revenue, I was able to raise it to #50,000 weekly. and the near future, am Target to #1 million monthly as my set target.” he said.
While commending Olams farm Rukubi for providing job opportunities to the people of the area, he also commend them for opening up rural roads in the area to ease movements of people and their farm produce.
On the welfare of staff of the local government, the Doma local guy chairman said, he met a dilapidated structures in Doma local government and now he is trying to fix them in order to provide good working environment for Staff of the local government for optimum performance.
He therefore called on the people of Doma local government to join hands with him to ensure the success of his administration which is aimed at providing the dividends of democracy to the locality.
