Unknown gunmen, last Tuesday night, at about 10pm, kidnapped the former correspondent of the sun newspaper, Mr Chuks Onuoha at his home town, Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area, in Abia State.
According to the community President General, Mr Suleiman Anyalewechi, who confirmed the incident in Umuahia, said Chuks Onuoha was kidnapped around 10pm last night at his village, Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area of the State.
A family source, who informed the people about the incident, said that the kidnappers have earlier demanded N10 million ransom before they could release him, but following the agreement reached so far, the kidnappers now reduced the ransom to N2m.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Abia state council is now on the matter, the council is now making some efforts and arrangements to ensure the release of the Journalist, who is their member.
